Nathan was referred to me by two past clients (THANK YOU KELLEY & CAYLEY)! We connected last Fall (2020) before beginning his search in December. We spent the first couple of showings just getting Nathan acclimated to the market and what types of properties were out there for him. We seriously started looking in mid January! Given the insane market we are in and the competitive price range Nathan was searching within, it took Nathan 4 offers to get under contract on the right home. Nathan has aspirations of house hacking in the Denver area - buying a home, living in a part of it and renting out the other portion to cover some/all of the mortgage. With that said, Nathan was primarily looking for a single family home that had a private entrance to a basement that he could rent out with an upstairs that was completely move in ready for him! And sure enough, we found one that works great!
Nathan purchased a 5 bed, 2 bath single family ranch in the Westminster area. The first floor contains 1,118 finished square feet (for him) with a beautiful kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room and a fire place. The private entrance in the back of the house leads to a separate unit in the basement that contains 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a laundry room and a massive living room area (for tenants). He intends to add a kitchenette to the basement for his future tenants. The home sits on a 6,000 square foot lot with an oversized detached 2 car garage. The best part about it all?
