In this month’s local business spotlight, we’re excited to introduce Kim Dean—a talented hair stylist at The Parlour in LoDo. Known for her approachable style, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients, Kim brings a personal touch to one of Denver’s most established local salons. And oh by the way, I've been going to her for my hair for years. I cannot recommend her enough!

Meet Kim

Kim has been in the hair industry since 2017 and has called The Parlour – LoDo home from the very beginning. She works with a wide variety of clients, balancing male and female services with skill and flexibility. Whether it’s a subtle refresh or a dramatic color change, Kim is all about creating a customized experience that helps her clients look and feel like the best version of themselves. She works most Tuesdays through Fridays and every other Saturday—but is flexible based on her clients’ needs.

A Full-Service, Community-Focused Salon

The Parlour is more than just a salon—it’s a Denver staple. Locally and stylist-owned, the salon group has been around for nearly 30 years, and the LoDo location was the second to open in its now well-loved network of salons. Founded by Jean and several other stylists, The Parlour was built on a mission to support and empower fellow stylists in both craft and career.

The LoDo team includes about 15 stylists, all working commission-based and within a supportive, community-driven atmosphere. There’s a wedding team at The Parlour for those big days (though Kim doesn’t specialize in bridal herself), and the environment is one of true collaboration and learning.

“I try to give people the best solution, not just the fastest one. Sometimes it’s about taking baby steps to get to the best result,” Kim says. That thoughtful, client-first approach is what keeps people coming back.
