This month’s Business Spotlight shines on Kat Furr, owner and operator of XO Gift Co. XO Gift Co. is a woman-owned, locally run store located across from Crown Hill Park in Gold’s Marketplace. Inside, you'll find a wide variety of unique gifts, many of which are locally and U.S.-sourced—perfect for any occasion!
XO Gift Co. has been around for 11 years. Originally located on Tennyson Street, Kat relocated to her current storefront about two and a half years ago.
The vision for XO Gift Co. began after Kat got married, when she decided to make her own place card holders. That project turned into a creative side gig on Etsy, where she sold wire photo holders, custom name cards, and other wedding items. Her passion for handmade, thoughtfully crafted goods eventually grew into a full-fledged brick-and-mortar store: XO Gift Co.
Kat says what sets her store apart from the competition is her unique product selection and exceptional customer service—including complimentary gift wrapping! She loves seeing the joy her customers find in choosing the perfect gift, and she especially enjoys hearing people laugh at the quirky and fun items throughout the shop—because, as she puts it, life is too short not to laugh!
This year, Kat has been putting together our closing baskets, and we've received nothing but glowing feedback—they're beautiful, as you can see in the photo below!
