Maria and Ben were referred to me by our amazing out-of-state agent partner, Raquel Gutierrez! (Thank you, Raquel, for trusting us with your clients and for the wonderful referral! If you know anyone looking to buy or sell in the greater Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia area, let me know and I'd be happy to connect you with Raquel!)
Maria and Ben first reached out in January as they prepared for an exciting new chapter. Maria was planning a visit to Colorado Springs in just a few weeks with the goal of finding a home before relocating with the military. We scheduled an initial consultation, reviewed the home buying process, completed the necessary paperwork, and planned a Discovery Day so we could make the most of her visit.
During our first Discovery Day, we toured as many homes as possible that fit their criteria. Beyond simply finding available homes, the goal was to better understand what felt right for Maria and Ben and refine the vision for their future home in Colorado. We were able to identify the correct number of bedrooms, square footage, and various nuances that were important for these two!
Shortly after that visit, Maria learned that her relocation timeline would not be moving as quickly as expected. With uncertainty around when her military paperwork would be finalized, we decided to put the home search on hold until her plans became more defined.
A few months later, Maria and Ben had a clearer picture of their reporting dates and were ready to jump back into the search. During Maria's second trip to Colorado, my wonderful showing assistant, Becca, helped guide the home tours while I coordinated behind the scenes. (Thank you, Becca, for always taking such great care of our clients when I'm unable to be present!)
On the second day of searching, Maria found a home that immediately felt right for her and Ben. We moved quickly to put together a strong offer. While the seller had previously received multiple offers that they ultimately declined, we were able to structure an offer that aligned with the seller's priorities and needs. As a result, our offer was accepted, and we were officially under contract.
From there, the transaction moved smoothly. We completed inspections and successfully negotiated several repairs on behalf of our clients, helping ensure they could move into their new home with confidence. Before long, we were sitting at the closing table and celebrating a successful purchase.
One of the most meaningful parts of this journey happened while the home was under contract. Ben returned home from deployment, and after time apart, he and Maria were finally reunited! Being able to watch them begin this next chapter together in a home they could truly call their own made this transaction especially memorable!

Congratulations, Maria and Ben! Thank you for trusting our team to help guide you through this exciting transition. It was an honor to be part of your journey, and I look forward to getting to know both of you even better now that you're officially settled in Colorado.
Cheers!
