Mikayla

Mikayla and I met through a mutual friend, who recommended she attend one of my Home Buying 101 classes back in early 2018. Mikayla asked great questions and brought a fun personality to the class. She knew she was still 1-2 years out from purchasing a home, but wanted to get a leg up on what she could do to put herself in the best possible position to buy a home. After the class, I put her in touch with a phenomenal lender (Nicole Rueth - Fairway Mortgage) who helped her through the financial preparations. She ended up attending the class again just a little over a year later (and brought a friend) as she was now ready to buy!

We began looking at single-family homes, condos and town-homes on the West side of Denver. Mikayla was hoping to find a decent sized home with nice finishes, a short distance from downtown, and with nice amenities. After a few weeks of looking and narrowing things down, we realized that Mikayla really likes particular nice finishes and was not willing to budge on finding exactly what she wanted in her first home. I recommended she look at some town-homes that were being built 10 minutes from Downtown where another client of mine owns a home - Midtown. Mikayla checked out the area and loved the community feel of the neighborhood. She also wanted to be in a very safe neighborhood, as she likes to run and lay out for that year-round golden glow. Midtown offers a variety of amenities, including access to Clear Creek Trail, a dog park, a community center and a community garden. Although, I suspect Mikayla's favorite amenity was the brewery located on site. :)

The particular units we were looking at were being built by Brookfield Residential. The unit, lot, layout and finishes that Mikayla selected resulted in a purchase contract in June of 2019. Mikayla had just turned 25 years old! Her home was to be built over the next year with an anticipated completion of early Spring 2020. Over the course of the year, Mikayla got to watch her home being built from the ground up and was able to hand select the finishes she wanted in her home. Might I add that she has great taste! All in all, it was a positive experience with Brookfield Residential and Mikayla finally closed on her beautiful brand new home in March of 2020.

After I met Mikayla for the first time, we quickly became friends. I am so thrilled for this wonderful client, who has already referred me to her friends and who quickly became one of mine! Here's to your beautiful home, your birthday (TODAY), and a great friendship that came as a result of it all!
